Welcome to the research section! Here you can find all the information related to the research we are doing on 6G-RUPA.

Publications#

A position paper that introduces the core concepts of 6G-RUPA, outlining its potential to improve future mobile networks:

Preprints#

Posters and talks#

Software and data#

  • Software, Python

Simulator for comparing routing algorithms in LEO satellite constellations: realistic orbits, links that change over time and pluggable routing, including 6G-RUPA topological routing.

  • Software, Julia

    PLMN-GraphSim

Discrete-event simulator that runs over national-scale mobile operator network graphs (Spain and the USA) to compare forwarding state, UPF placement and handovers in 5G and 6G-RUPA.

  • Dataset

NTN LEO Satellite Routing Evaluation Data

Forwarding-state, routing-update, stability, delivery and path-stretch results for link-state, topological and explicit-path routing across Starlink, OneWeb, Kuiper and Telesat, generated with LEOPath. Supports the topological forwarding preprint.

  • Dataset

    PLMN-GraphSim Dataset

Processed demographics and cellular-network topology for Spain and the USA (from INE, the US Census Bureau and OpenCellID), used as input to PLMN-GraphSim to reproduce the experiments in the Beyond 5G architectural constraints preprint.

Ongoing research#

We’re currently working on 6G-RUPA applied to Non-Terrestrial Networks, starting with routing in LEO satellite constellations using topological addresses. The topological forwarding preprint and the SNS4SNS poster present the first results. Stay tuned for more updates!
